I clearly remember watching the original Survivors which started in 1975, one of those series that stay with you. Less than 1% of people left and everyone had to relearn how to make basic stuff and started going back to the land and growing food on the Oval cricket ground. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zbf7pQkEvA Looking up this video I also found this from the first episode https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072572/ couple of dozen of the doctors patients showing symptoms- but 'just trying to be fashionable'
No elites controlling the whole thing and then inheriting the world, but deep seeds were sown.

Gripping video! Brilliant even! Thanks so much Monica Hughes for mentioning your Substack. After reading a couple of posts and watching a most entertaining video on this one, I feel like binge reading all your others to experience it all!
