The last two years has been a master example of elder abuse. Biden has made sordid choices yet his handlers are more awful still. But I suppose we each play our part. Someone has to be the embodiment of all this evil. It provides the evolutionary pressure needed for us to get squeezed into the next level of consciousness.

It seems obvious to me that Joe is a puppet. He doesn't see himself as we see him. Folks with dementia never think they have dementia. He's a dupe, but he doesn't know it.

I didn't say that.

I assumed that's what you meant that he doesn't know he is a dupe. I read that as he didn't know he was being had by his handlers.

I get that's what you thought, but it's possible to not know you're a dupe and still know that when someone tells you you're fired, you understand what that means! ;)

If by going soft you mean feeling compassion I'm all for it. I think you're right about Joe, it's sad, my Dad had dementia too, it's bloody awful.

There is a change in the air for sure

Going soft? No, I'd say you're getting clear about what's happening, and you're feeling the stirrings of compassion for someone who, in the traditional corporate world, doesn't deserve any. If we go by what the "corporate" rules are, NOBODY deserves any. It's "dog eat dog" and all that bullshit.

Joe Biden has dementia. People don't generally "get better" from that, it's degenerative and it's really hard NOT to feel something for folks suffering from it.

There are a lot of people ready to pounce when the "time is right" and to do a Mussolini on these oligarchs that have caused, and continue to cause, so much suffering and death... They are understandably angry and want justice and/or revenge, and I share those feelings... BUT, is that really what is good for us? To decimate, murder, torture, etc etc? Because they "deserve" it? Even if they do deserve it, is that what's good for US? To do those things to someone?

There are many many ways to punish people, and I DO think these oligarchs should be punished, without doing damage to our own souls... We should think about this, I say. We should think about continuing a line of evil that is not REQUIRED... Do we choose to damage our own souls?

Mercy is not "soft." It takes a lot of courage... more than exploding in fury and doing heinous things...

Just my two cents'.

Wells said. At some stage the cycle needs to be broken, and not just perpetuated with revenge and bloodlust. I do have a fear that the backlash to the last 3 years or so could end up being more damaging in the long run. And maybe my compassion is more for Joe's family than him.

Compassion is an endless spring, if we need or want it. I have some compassion for anybody who isn't shining like an angelic being, ready to ascend into whatever...

But my focus is mostly about VICTIMS. I feel for them, and as far as I can tell, most of the people on this planet are victims. It's not entirely up to us to decide what anyone's ultimate judgment should be, we just need to STOP THE CARNAGE and put all this stupidity about how to have power over other people into a box and come up with some better management ideas...

Yes, but why would they need a body double to do that? He's got dementia. He's a tool already.

The body double seems to have dementia. Remember, the world is a stage and we are watching a play. My guess is with as incredibly hard as they are pushing this lunacy a body double is insurance for the real Joe against assassination. Or maybe he isn't as convincing an actor as the double. But I'm not all that good at spotting minor differences in people I don't know well features and there is definitely a double.

Okay, whatever. I am not watching a play, but you can be doing whatever.

I don't believe there is a "body double," and you're free to think whatever you want.

I have no interest in this conversation.

You're going soft. Xiden chose a path of crime & mass murder, repeatedly using the death of his wife & daughter (not to mention smearing the character of the unfortunate truck driver who was not drunk) as a step stool up the heap.

The higher they climb (up the stack of destroyed lives) the harder they fall.

If you want to feel compassion, feel it for the peons enslaved to make him & his ilk filthy rich. Who apparently will be stuck with Joe's Hoe Harris representing us for as long as 10 years. 😳

Point well made and taken. I admit I initially got sucked in by how well Joe emotionally manipulated his family tragedies (which have red flags everywhere when you dig deeper into them) for his own benefit. Surely the script writers don't have such a dark sense of humour that they will inflict 10 years of Kamala upon you guys...

Are you suggesting votes count more than counting votes? We are in an uphill battle here.

If they ditch Biden at the right time, Joe's Hoe spends a day less than 2 years in his term & then is eligible for 2 terms.

(Praying that Kunstler is right & Joe's Hoe declines & hi-tails it back to CA, tail between legs. 🙏🏼)

They fought so hard for Weffie McCarthy, though, my guess is they snuff the Hoe 1 way or another, & shoehorn McCarthy in. Assumes they have enough dirt on him to keep him in line.

10 years is not forever. (Assuming they don't go nuclear.)

I don't see how seeing or not seeing "past this pathetic excuse for "governance" matters.

Our so-called governance is deeply entrenched, I don't expect it to be easy to undo. If it was a cancerous tumor, it would be a sarcoma, with tentacles everywhere, strangling everything.

Compassion isn't something you "use up." Feeling compassion for a real rat bastard doesn't mean you AGREE with his actions or that you don't punish him. Feeling compassion is what makes US human, and what makes a psychopath sick.

I feel no more compassion for Quid Pro Joe than for Satan.

He made his bed. Let him lie in it.

I leave vengeance & Justice to God. I'm just averting my eyes.

If that makes me a psychopath (in your eyes), so be it.

When you've had an innocent, defenseless loved one tortured & murdered, it informs your perspective. I reserve my compassion for the victims & their survivors.
