I never understood the infatuation with the royal family. But I also feel the same way about movie stars and rock stars. Is Australia still a commonwealth? Forgive my ignorance. I guess I could just look it up instead of dummying up your comment section. I just did my weekly FB gander and I've never seen so much grave spitting at someone before their body has had rigor mortis set in. But i do get it. Damn that family has caused so much suffering.
We are sadly/embarrassingly still a Commonwealth. People who I largely agree with are currently mourning her while completely overlooking what she and her family represent, while leftist politicians who I can barely stand I am in agreeance with as they use the opportunity to push for a Republic. It is pretty brutal, I agree, and I don't usually jump onboard these things, but this feels like a necessary exception.
People jumped on the opportunity to dance on John McCain and Bush Sr.’s graves too. I’m surprised they left Madeline Albright’s death pass so uneventfully. These are the legacies these people leave behind. I don’t feel sorry for them per se, but I feel sorry for humanity that it breeds these psychopathic tendencies. It needs to be called out so we can learn and evolve.
