Another discrepancy: "I am the alpha and the omega"

The *early* Greek, Aramaic & Hebrew alphabets end at tau or tau or taf. None makes it to omega!

Yeshua would have said "I am the alpha and the tau."

And he also said "I am the way."

Anyone else notice the similarity of tau to tao?

"We have the name Jesus thanks to a translation from the Greek ‘Iesous’ (ee-yay-soos), which is not really at all authentic to the original"

I think your "pronunciation" of the Greek Jesus is off. The pronunciation in Greek is more like:

Yeh-Zhus

Very close to Yeshua, just without the "a" on the end. Probably was spelled like it sounds.

The upper case Iota looks like an English capital I, but sounds like "y" in front of vowels. Unless it was carved in stone, the "J" could have just been a slip when hand/writing implement was lifted.

I find it interesting that the translator of the KJV renamed Jacob. Currying favor with his benefactor?

I have a couple translations, including an Orthodox teaching version, that notate the name change. & then proceed to call him James throughout!

Given it was almost 3 years since I delved into The Yeshua Translation Conspiracy, I'll defer to you on that one Mary!

Good idea, since I'm Greek on my mother's side so heard it routinely growing up, weekly at her Greek Orthodox Church, most holidays, weddings, etc! 😉

I only went to Bulgarian orthodox mass on Easter as a teenager cause we got to say the thing and kiss the boys on the cheeks. Beautiful ceremony tho. Love the chanting and the procession walking around the church with candles at midnight.

Loved the wombat story book

Jackie French is a legendary gardener and herbalist, I didn’t know she wrote wombat books too

Isn’t hell where we’ve been living, ie under the dome for 1000 years, and heaven is where we can get to after the dome breaks down?

Then we can meet the tartarians and get to the other continents that have been inaccessible to us?

This realm has been giving off hell-ish vibes, particularly of late. It would be comforting, if nothing else, to know that this is as bad as it gets, and we have only one way to go from here! I'm not entirely sure where heaven is, but i'm guessing it's where the giant trees are.

Book is super cute.

Very cute wombat book! I still have Wombat Stew around here, saved for the next generation in case they pull a Roald Dahl and decide it's insensitive to ... dingoes?

Just fyi, there is no Aramaic NT. Not even verbal. The parables have tropes that don't work in Aramaic, only Greek (sorry if I'm repeating what I've said elsewhere.)

So the Hellenized name is a tip-off that it's a story about a member of the Jewish elite who sympathized with the Roman overlords. A member of the IRA doesn't name their kid Cecil.

There's no evidence for Yeshua for this non-existent person either.

And yes, if we're to love everybody, how could we be happy in heaven when they're in hell?

Thanks for alerting me to this, Isaac!

Thanks for the tips! It's been a few years since I brought this together, so it seems there's a few Lost in Translations that I have made myself. This Jesus/Yeshua fella really is a mysterious one: the OG psy-ops indeed!

What a juicy wombat hole, Isaac. I just acquired a Bible from a pastor who I’m in consistent conversations with. He’s trying to get me to accept Jesus as my only Lord and saviour. I’ve only gotten to the ‘accepting Jesus’ part as I have always thought the teachings were aligned with my own. But I keep trying to convince him that Jesus is one of the ways. And that it isn’t guaranteed. But I want to know more so I am reading passages. Great that you’ll be supplementing my exploration.

Btw, I like the children’s book a lot. Second best kids thing to come out of Australia, IMO. Second only to the one and only ‘Bluey”. Best kids TV show ever.

My friend's kids love Bluey! (Almost as much as Paw Patrol).

Yes: for me, for so much of what divides society, it comes down to belief that The Way that works for someone must therefore be The Only Way. The idea of Yeshua/Jesus being our Lord and Saviour has never resonated with me. To me, he was the OG conspiritualist: he saw early and clearly that humanity was under the control of dark spiritual forces, and proposed a radical alternate model focusing on self empowerment and community, before showing us how it was done.

Indeed!

"The OG Conspiritualist" -- 😂 perfectly apt
