I'm linking this into my research for the OMGdess book I just officially started writing. The Biblical quotes and prophecy make the point exactly. In When God Was a Woman, Merlin Stone writes about the 'battle-axe cultures.' And here they are being claimed proudly by God the fukker, Yahweh.
Tangerine terrorist is excellent. I suspect that the whole Bible is a literary usurping of fem-centric cultures. Along with Isis-Ra-El, I've read that the tribe of Judah came from the Moors. Would that be now Morocco? So the Lioness of Judah was never Yahweh's pet. On to your next post on the Churlish Chosen!
Omg, I can’t wait for OMGdess book! I might’ve mentioned to you Renée Gerlich’s A Brief Complete Herstory (available as ebook from her site) which I’m partway through - beautifully illustrated and a quick read, draws on M Stone and G Lerner’s works.
The other random thought was the etymology of female/feminine. As we’ve discussed before, the “female” has pretty much been used to define and measure space and time itself. Time is marked by moon cycles which is connected to menses, menstrual, month (I learnt this from Gerlich’s work). And space is marked by measure, metre, which also all comes from menses. And Ma-thematics = wisdom (themis) of the mother (ma). And life comes from the ma-trix (womb).
So as I was pondering life upon my bicycle yesterday, I was thinking…all these words (ma, mother, menses, moon, month, measure, metre - even the “virgin” Mary!) are “m” words. So why has the “m” gone to “masculine/man” and where has the “f” in female/feminine come from?? Is there some krivda going on?
I have the page to Herstory now open, thanks LoWa. I'm reading Merlin Stone again, from the middle. I keep looking for things and finding more that I missed. I'm very impressed with her scholarship.
The NT was only EVER in Greek, including the verbal parables of 'Jesus.' They use tropes that only make sense in Greek. But I don't know if we should call them Greek since the indigenous Greeks were perhaps invaded at the same time the Hexing Set Cult was kicked out of Egypt. The term Hellenist or Hellenes, not Greek or Roman, gets used to distinguish them from the ioudaians/ judeans.
Very interesting, especially on mathematics. I've been noticing all the female words are derivatives of the male. Goddess is awkward and definitely doesn't work in the possessive--isn't that a metaphor!
Ohhh this has sent me on a mission! I initially thought my European ancient history knowledge is so poor I need to school myself in what time period precisely Hellenistic era was but then (given we are talking about bible, heaven and hell) wondered if Hell had anything to do with Hellenistic.
So…my short answer after some googling is…probably not (??) given the former is from old English and latter from Greek (?? but I don’t know where Old English comes from in the first place.
The algorithm says “"Hellenistic" comes from the Ancient Greek word "Hellēnistḗs," meaning "one who uses the Greek language," derived from "Hellas," which means "Greece." Interesting how it conflates the two as you mentioned what should be called “Greek”..is perhaps not so clear cut.
And “hell” = a covered place, to cover, to hide (abode of dead, underworld, nether world - later inferno)
Hellas = Greece.
Hell = a covered place.
Any coverups happen in Greece?
And goddess connection, Hel = Norse goddess of underworld.
Hell apparently (?) shares a root with heel, hill, hull, whole, hall, hold, halt.
Hell = covered place
Heel = part of foot covered by leg
Hill = part of land covered by mound of earth or stone
Hull = a nut covering
Hold = part of ship where it’s all covered
Hall = building with covering for people to assemble
Hale = healed or whole
Whole = covered or healed eg whole is a “hole”/wound covered over by skin = re-covered = recovered
Helling potatoes means to put potatoes into the ground/cellar/pit. So if helling means to put things into the earth (the “ma-trix”, the womb of life), then that means they might grow roots (radix) and have a “radical” component in addition to the apical component. So if we “hell ourselves,” by the same logic, we would be more grounded, rooted (radical), whole. Is there some krivda with that “hell” word where it’s been inverted to mean that being in the EARTH is BAD because earth mother (Pachamama / Papatūānuku) is so last millennium and now it’s all about “sky father”/ sky gods?? So we should fear hell? Plus it makes it all about hell as place of dead stuff (underworld) forgetting earth is also the place of life.
But…..
Greek word for “hell” (covered place) is hai’des?? (“Hades”). So now I’m thinking, what does that mean?
Hai could be Ai (AI????), an OT biblical place of “heap of ruins” conquered by Israelites under Joshua according to the Christian forums I.e. where people who disobeyed died therefore obviously entered “hell” / earth.
Hai…does this also mean female? As in “hai doulai” = female slaves and “hoi douloi “ = male slave?
Hades = “the unseen one” (covered/concealed) would make sense if slaves were not seen, or “the invisible” . From Aḯdēs (Ἀΐδης), which became Háidēs (Ἅιδης) from idein “to see" (in Hindi “dekh” is to see) and idein is from PIE root *weid- "to see" (=> English words like visible, visor, advise, wit, wise, view, visage and Sanskrit words like “Vedas” (truth, knowledge - to know is to see)). So I suppose the same way a-typical means not typical, (h)a-des means not seen.
Plus Hades is god of wealth?? Because the underworld is where all the gems and precious metals for the economy come from? Money’s origins are “covered up” as it were…literally, by dirt!
So there’s a mysterious mix of being covered up (hell), Greeks (Hellenistic), hai’des (unseen), money (Hades), female slaves (hai doulai), where hell also has something in common with heal, whole…which seem like complete opposites…and there a goddess Hel involved too in all this…?
Oh, you're the one enlightening my book, LoWa. Thanks for letting me know that Hellas = Greece. I've been wondering too about Helen of Troy because we know that war wasn't fought for a woman. There is a connection between Hell and women, but I'll have to read more and see if it turns up again. And interesting that Hellēnistḗs is one who speaks Greek while barbarian is one who doesn't, or doesn't speak it correctly and 'babbles.' So that's why it included Hellenized Egypt and Canaan. Hmmm...
I hope my totally random musings are both enlightening and endarkening your book as the natural light (sun) and natural dark (lack of light pollution, dark sky at night, womb, night, earth) are both beautiful… as Enna Reitort also talks about!
The Tangerine Terrorist is my favorite moniker for the golden golem 🤣
Do I have official permission to integrate golden golem into my vocabulary?
Tangerine Terrorist and Golden Golem are now both thieved for my rhetorical use, thank you.
100% 🤩
I feel official, so I say Yes.

I had some other random thoughts on my bicycle yesterday. Is there a Greek link to bible which then also links to male-centric religions and democracy of slave owners piece..? As I came across this article https://open.substack.com/pub/plebeianresistance/p/gaslighting-woke-californians-via?r=qdiky&utm_medium=ios

Interesting book I found in my rabbit holing (or helling) - https://newensign.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Hell.pdf
Ok that’s the extent of my cursory musing for the day, I might have to wait patiently for your book to be enlightened on all this.

Great point!
Speaking of lions - any ideas why lions are in various England / British / UK coats of arms? They’re not even native to England lol…
There’s one of these coats of arms that has the lion sitting on top (rather than off to the side) which I heard represents who is really in charge
I can’t tell you anything that the algorithm can’t, but you are the second digger to raise lions and the UK to me so consider it under investigation
Well, I am utterly astrology-baffled, but I FEEL like that ascending lion is actually IRAN.
If nothing else, and don't listen to MSM, Iran seems to be the only adult in the room...
And here's a hug for you, WD. I do love reading your posts, even if I'm unable to "woof" them down. ha ha roof.
If all else fails I’m here to entertain 🐶
(They would only need to be at late-teenage level of masculinity to be more mature than what the other team is dishing up)
And you R quite entertaining, too. ;)
True dat, I'm afeared. Owooo, arooo.
