Pluto in Aquarius, Neptune in Pisces: Spies Came Out Of The Water

So: Pluto in Aquarius. Surely, you’ve heard?

The Lord of the Underworld — the Compelling Creep who turns the Everyday into the Intense — makes his/its second-last incursion into the Tropical Domain of the Water Bearer: the Outsider, the Innovator, the Reformer; the one who works within the Collective whilst being removed from it (take notes: Pisces).

Working with it while being detached from it… perhaps that is also the best way to approach Astrology — certainly Tropical, which we are obliged to adhere to only because of our collective adherence to the cycle of the Sun.

So: what will we be working with? If we could find the Venn Diagram overlap of these two Archetypes, perhaps it would just be: weird. Peak Weird is approaching, it seems.

The fun starts on the 20th — today — when the Sun joins Pluto with impeccable if not scripted timing: illuminating and energising this Archetypal moment, as they leave the last Degree of Capricorn in unison.

Then, on February the 14th, Mars will have its turn to meet the Dark Lord; in a wholly unnecessarily dramatic flourish, the Moon will move into and out of an exact Square to both Planets during the day.

We know Mars likes to Fight, we know Pluto likes the Dark. We know now, simply from that combination, why Mars-Pluto may have the worst Rep of any of the Planetary Combinations.

When Mars joins Pluto, they will together be making a Sextile to Neptune, which lies — both Tropically and Sidereally — in Pisces. Wars and Water; Overpowering Waves.

Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune in Pisces will stay in Sextile until September, when the Lord of the Underworld retreats for one last dose of Capricorn Chaos.
