New Healing Beginnings: Understanding Your Personalised Chiron Eclipse
April Astrological Archetype #4: Interactive Edition!
If you have followed my alliterative April Astrological Archetypes posts up to now, you should be getting a sense of just how intense and multi-faceted the Celestial energies of this month promise to be.
Two Outer Planet Conjunctions establish the overall Archetypal themes of April: the Radicalised Beliefs and Spiritual Liberation of Jupiter-Uranus, and the “Grinding to a Halt” Tests of Endurance of Mars-Saturn (with help from Mercury in Retrograde). And then we have the Total Solar Eclipse itself: which, being a New Moon, also represents a Conjunction between the Sun and Moon.
The best way to understand how April will impact you personally is to find where each of the 3 major Conjunction lies in your birth chart: Jupiter-Uranus, Mars-Saturn and the Eclipse.
The Skyclock has made this relatively easy for us: with these Conjunctions spread out over 3 consecutive Zodiac Signs, it means they will also fall in 3 consecutive Houses in a Birth Chart. The House of Jupiter-Uranus will be the domain of life where we feel the most Expansion and Liberation, while the House of Mars-Saturn where we feel the most Held Back and Restricted.
But what about the House of the Eclipse?
When the Moon moves in front of the Sun to block its light, both Luminaries will be almost exactly conjunct the Comet Chiron. Chiron was only discovered in 1977, with its Astrological meaning still being revealed to us. Like the God of Greek Mythology it was named after, Chiron is most commonly associated with the Archetype of the Wounded Healer: its position in our chart indicates where we hold the most hurt and the deepest trauma — in fact, this wound is so deep that it cannot be healed.
While this may sound bleak and confronting, it has a crucial evolutionary purpose: to offset this unhealable wound within ourselves, we are driven to bring about healing of that same domain of life within the external would. Thus, the placement of Chiron in our chart indicates both our deepest wound but also where we have the greatest potential to help others in their healing journey.
This Eclipse should therefore be understood as an intensely Chiron moment, and one fundamentally concerned with the process of Healing.
The House the Eclipse falls in is thus likely to be the most sensitive over April: where we feel the most unsettled and chaotic — given this is the fundamental energy of a Solar Eclipse — but also where we might expect to feel old wounds and trauma brought to the surface. Remembering that this is still a New Moon, and the start of new Lunar cycle, we can also identify this domain of life as offering our New Healing Beginnings.

Alternatively, if you already know your Conjunction placements over April, please feel free to share your personal preparations/experiences in the comments.
To get things rolling, I will offer up my own chart as an example: my Natal Chart is the inner ring, and the location of the Planets at the time of the Eclipse on the Outer Ring.
To start with, you can find Jupiter-Uranus on the bottom left of the Outer Ring in Sidereal Aries, at the end of my 2nd House (under Tropical Whole Sign Houses, it would be in my 3rd House).
This is an easy one; the 2nd House is to do with Wealth, Material Assets and Security, and the 3rd house our Immediate and Local Environment (the best analogy I have heard for this is our “Fishbowl”). Well: I have just moved out of my 5 year rental, got rid of almost all of my personal belongings, have no fixed residence, and am now essentially living out of my car stone-cold broke while I try to set myself up financially as an Astrologer. My deadline for this is April 20, the day that Jupiter and Uranus become exact, when I re-enter the real world and begin 4 months of housesitting.
The Eclipse occurs in my 1st House: the House of the Self where we experience an Archetype most closely through the lens of our own Ego and Identity. Again, this makes perfect sense: I have been far too invested in this Eclipse moment for far too long, and am essentially launching my Astrology services off the back of this moment. This also suggests my healing energy should be focused almost exclusively on myself, even to the extent that it is viewed externally as being selfish (a common trait of 1st House Placements).
Mars-Saturn in the 12th House? This is a tricky one, as Planets in the last House (representing the final stage of the life cycle) can often seem Hidden or Invisible. One interpretation would be that I may Escape the brunt of these Collective Tests of Endurance, given I have already brought my life to somewhat of a Grinding Halt; another is that I will experience it in Dreams, through the Supernatural, or simply in an acutely Existential way whilst in almost complete 12th House Retreat and Isolation from the Collective (particularly given the Conjunction is Square to my Natal Saturn).
This doesn’t sound like much fun, but welcome to our Realm: at least Astrology leaves us as prepared as possible for whatever Archetypal challenges might be lying in wait.
Your courage is heartening, my friend.
You're already aware of my journey through hell... right now I still have "stuff" and a place to live, although I could be evicted since I am behind in the rent, b/c of all this family hell... I've been thinking about What To Take in order to live in my car... I do have a tent...
I gotta get on this asap! I'm trying to eat all the meat in my freezer, and then I'll just have canned food...
Wild ride, eh? I'll be vibing you, along with my other pals. xo xo
May fortune smile upon you Isaac!🙏 Cheers! 🍻
