Hope for the Best, Plan for the Worst.
This is the core tenet at the heart of the Discipline of Planning, and which was also the theoretical foundation of my PhD thesis: the challenge of Reckoning with Uncertainty.
This Duality is also one of the core Archetypal challenges of the current Polarised times we face: which we can describe in Astrological terms as the Balance between Jupiterian Optimism with Saturnian Realism.
It also just so happens that both of these Planets are involved in major Conjunctions across April: Jupiter with Uranus (think Sudden Surprises, or Radicalised Belief Systems) and Saturn with Mars (think Grinding to a Halt, or Tests of Endurance).
I am going to do short post for each of these Conjunctions over the next few days — to give anyone interested easily digestible summaries of the type of themes to expect to see intensified in the Collective and in our Personal lives across April, which is almost universally agreed to be the most hectic Astrological period of the year.
Why? Because as well as these two Conjunctions, we also have a much anticipated but now completely overhyped and ritualised Total Solar Eclipse: the Path of Totality of which crosses directly over the United States mainland and makes an X with the path of a similar Eclipse in 2017.
For this reason, it has been dubbed the Great American Eclipse, and has been predicted to signal the heightening of Political and Cultural events in the US and — by extension, unfortunately — much of the world as well.
But leaving all that aside, this Total Solar Eclipse is a uniquely powerful opportunity for personal change and action: the end of one major Lunar Cycle and the start of the next, while also representing a literal “reset” of the Sun (our core identity, how we lead and inspire and shine our light) as it briefly goes dark.
Personally, I have just moved out of my home of the last 5 years and have no fixed residence for the foreseeable future: the Reckoning with Uncertainty feels very real right now, and in the spirit of Aries I am going to lean into the start of this new cycle as Boldly and Fearlessly as possible to see where the rest of the Eclipse Season takes me.
So, with that in mind, please enjoy the first of hopefully many April Astrological Archetypal Previews over the next week (Mercury-Retrograde-on-April-Fools hiccups dependent), in the lead up to one of the most anticipated Astrological moments in recent memory. Please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions, pushback et al. in the comments.
Each of these April Astrological Archetypes are taken from almost 1-hour spiel through the lovely surrounds of the Golden Valley Tree Park — objectively one of the most Wholesome spots in the South West of Australia — on my Youtube channel: you can skip to each relevant section using the Chapter Headings in the description.
I got quite excited and my heart felt exalted when you pointed out the Chiron aspect. "Stand firm. Give thanks and praises." was the message.
